Hiking & Trekking
For those who like to earn their views, the island's interior is greener and wilder than the coast suggests. The signature climb is Le Morne Brabant, the UNESCO-listed mountain with a moving history and a staggering lagoon panorama from the top. The Black River Gorges National Park protects the last native forest and rarest birds, with trails from gentle walks to half-day treks, and Tamarin Falls rewards a few hours' effort with seven cascades and pools to swim in. The tougher routes need a local guide and an early, cooler start, both of which Krishna will arrange.

Le Morne Brabant Hike
Climb the UNESCO-listed mountain at the island's south-west tip for staggering views over the lagoon and reef.

Black River Gorges Trek
Trek the island's largest national park: native forest, endemic birds, waterfalls and deep green valleys.

Tamarin Falls (Seven Cascades)
A guided hike to a chain of seven waterfalls hidden in the green interior, with natural pools to swim in.
